The Global Process Institute is a non-profit foundation with an active board of Directors. It serves as the administrative body that oversees worldwork teaching and interventions. There are many projects and funds operating under the umbrella of the Global Process Institute, one of which is our on-going work in the Middle East. The beautiful land of Israel suffers from many potentially and openly dangerous conflicts. Major conflicts include tension between Jews and Palestinians; between Israeli Jews and Arabs; between religious, secular, conservative, reform, right-wing, left-wing, and moderate Jews; and between the different clans of the Druse, as well as local conflicts among groups of Jewish immigrants. In a land where so many people have suffered the consequences of violence, there is a great interest in working on tension and conflict in order to make violence an obsolete method of dealing with conflict. To facilitate in areas of conflict and to provide an alternative to violence. To create a four-year training program which will certify people in worldwork methods of conflict facilitation. To create a crisis intervention team that will be on-call in Israel. To create documentary films of worldwork conferences in Israel. Films will serve to inform the public about changes occurring in various conflicts within Israel. To promote deeper understanding and reduce prejudice and acts of revenge between the different sides involved in various conflicts. |
